After a painting trip to Glacier National Park, I was impressed by the textures, richness of color and movement embedded in every landscape that is saw or painted in the Park. Even in the corners of the wilderness, there was a grandeur, purity, and energy that could be the stimulus for a thousand paintings. I wanted to capture some of that here in this painting of a mountain stream, and used my brush handles, rags, razor blade, and knives in creating these "natural" textures.
