Alleyway in Galveston

My medium for this painting is oil.
I have been to this particular alleyway in Galveston, TX every year for 3 years. There is a lady who lives on the corner, who’s yard reminds me so much of my Mother! She has beautiful raised beds with fresh organic vegetables. My Mother had a huge green thumb. In fact she was a Master Gardner. She had raised beds when she had a patio home. This lady also has all different kinds of beautiful chickens, which I love. As I was looking down the alleyway that was behind her house I took the photo of the scene that I later painted in the studio.
