This is a plein air piece that I started in the Fall of 2021. It sat and seasoned in my studio for the Winter and Spring as paintings often do. I call it "seasoning" on the shelf. I felt I had captured that late summer humidity and the warm colors of the sunburned grasses, but I needed to bring the whole piece together. It was fun revisiting such a spectacular evening.
