Reflection Study

This painting was done in plein air from the perspective of sitting on a floating dock by the shore of my pond, located in Pascoag, Rhode Island. My partner and I built this dock for many purposes, one being to make it easier for me to float around and paint different perspectives of the water, shore, and surrounding landscape. This particular spot always get really nice morning light where the shadows of the trees reveal complex systems of wildlife under the water below.
