6.SUN BURST

My final piece in the Sunflower series is SUN SUNBURST. This time I went large. I painted large areas of acrylic paint onto my palette and allowed it to mostly dry. I then cut strips and I then rolled the strips of paint and affixed them to the middle of the canvas to make the seeds.I then painted the petals with a little green behind them. The final top petal was several layers of yellow paint onto my palette and allowed it to dry overnight and then did this two more times. I then peeled this thick piece of acrylic from the palette, cut and shaped before I shaped and applied it as a curling petal at the top of the seeds.
